Image refers to character. The creator became the creation so that our character can become like that of God.
Jesus was the express image of God (Hebrews 1:3, Colossians 1:15)
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
We must live in such a way that people who know us but don’t know Christ will want to know Christ because they know us.
We are the Bible that people who know us read. Through our character people who know us know about Jesus.
When God gives us a revelation, we should practice that revelation in our life. We must live that revelation in our life and show it to people we know. We must not share our revelations with others by writing articles or by talking about our revelations.
Only when we live the revelation God gives us, our life will have impact on the people who know us. With out living the revelation God gives us if we talk about our revelation then we will be like ‘sounding brass’ and ‘tinkling cymbal’ apostle Paul refers in 1 Corinthians 13:1. People who hear us will not understand our revelation. But when they see us living the revelation God gives us, they will understand the revelation much better.
Our life speaks louder than our mouth. We have been called like that.
Apostle Paul calls preaching as foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:21). We should not desire to preach. We should desire to live the revelation God gives us. Preaching is a foolish compulsion that is fallen upon servants of God.
When we don’t speak but live, we are living a humble life. A person who knows much should speak less.
He that hath knowledge spareth his words (Proverbs 17:27)
The life we live emits light! When we begin to live by the revelations God gives us, we begin to emit light. Such people God will keep them on a pedestal. They will be on the hill and their fame will be known far and wide. Jesus and 144000 standing on mount Zion means this.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
